Welcome to The Flying Squirrels Website All about us
The Flying Squirrels is a group of mountain boarders from Norfolk. We formed back in 2003 with just 4 riders, in the first year we picked up 2 shop sponsors to help with kit. In 2004 we entered the atba uk championships and picked up a few more local riders. By 2005 we had a good amount of local riders out every sunday having fun... Also in 05 our race team joined Adventura for the uk champs and world champs, we finished a modest 6th over all in the uk and had wins from Dany Mitchel and Dave Stamp in the Master class competing in the world championship events, with Dany finishing a modest 2nd overall in the world. 2006 and the team still grows, more regular riders and a first podium for Mark Peck at the green man + a 7th place finish in cypress at a world downhill event.
2007 is another awesome year for us, New team rider Raph laroche wins the world masters freestyle title and Lorna Boughton grabs a Bronze medal aswell as a 4th overall in uk comps. Not forgeting ofcoarse the LEGEND himself MR Glen Mitchel who wanted nothing more than his 3rd place at court farm
